Tea, Coffee and Sugar Jars

These tea, coffee and sugar jars were developed through the process of slip casting. They were designed to experiment with surface texture for practical and decorative application within clay. The tactile elements were indicative of use and to help the holder of the object identify different aspects of the jar. A multi-functional part to these jars is the ceramic lid, it acts as a teaspoon and tea bag dish as well as the lid to the jars. The colour palette within the jars is a gradient of earthy greens to appeal to all users. I chose a gradient of earthy greens across the collection to connect the jars.
